Q: QuestionDoes the cameras have to be plugged into power or are they POE? In the specs, one area says POE and another area says AC/DC adaptor.

Q: QuestionI see on your site you have the model # 1676810, $100 more than listed on Best Buy. Why the price difference? Also, I would prefer to have 5 bullet type and 5 dome cameras, is this possible with this packet?

Q: QuestionI have a couple of cat-5 runs out to my gate at about 700'; been running good this way many years. Can I add just power near the camera (additional POE, to correct power supply voltage drop) since this system only reaches 300? If so, what do i buy?

• A:Answer You can use an injector at the camera location but Cat 5e is good for a little over 300'. I've used it as far as 400'. For a run that long cat 6 should give you better odds of a more stable connection. 6A is even better.
