- Answer Of your blue ray player supports control through HDMI then yes. Otherwise the ROKU remote is not programmable for other devices like a universal remote

- Answer The TCL Roku TVs are specifically designed to be used with the TCL Roku remote that comes with it. However, you can download the free Roku app on your smartphone or tablet to use with your TCL Roku TV. By using the app you can use voice search, voice control, and experience private listening. However, voice search is not designed to be used within individual streaming channels, but rather with the operating system and general system searches. Hope this helps! QuestionI just purchased the TCL 65R615 from you. I have a Vizio SB4551 Soundbar connected via the ARC ports on both devices. I am unable to get the TV audio to detect and send audio to the soundbar. I followed the instructions on the screen. Any suggestions?

- Answer Be sure that you are connecting you sound at via HDMI 3 on the TCL TV, as that is the only input that supports ARC. Also make sure that your firmware is up to date. Lastly, go to settings on the Tv and under system and control other devices (CEC) you choose ARC HDMI 3. Also, you may need to go to the Audio settings and turn TV Speakers to off and/or set S/PDIF and ARC to Auto Detect. After making these changes and also double checking your settings on your soundbar, restart both devices and see if that worked. As an alternative, you can also connect both devices via the Toslink fiber optic connection, if your soundbar has one. Good luck!

QuestionWhat is the difference between the 5 and 6 series TCL 65" TV

- Answer 2 word answer: dimming zones. What does this mean? You get MUCH better blacks out of the 6 Series. Don't even consider the 5 Series unless you want gray blacks. 5 Series also had backlight fluctuation issues that can be very annoying. Those issues are gone in the 6 Series. I am VERY happy with my 6 Series, and highly recommend it. Best TV I have ever owned by far!

- Answer You may need to consult settings or your TV or Harmony remote. The TCL User Guide - https://s3.amazonaws.com/helpjuice-static/helpjuice_production%2Fuploads%2Fupload%2Fimage%2F2771%2Fdirect%2F1527746601801-TCL_6-Series_Roku_User_Guide_US-CA-8.0.pdf - does not make explicit mention of using alternate remotes, but from personal experience, I am able to control small aspects of my TCL TV with HDMI CEC devices. Connected via HDMI 3 (ARC), I can change volume input from an external device. I do not use traditional television via cable or satellite, so I’m unsure of how those may operate. Your Tivo box may allows this function. Again, best to consult your settings to be certain.

- Answer This is the 65R615 model. The only difference between the 65R617 and the 65R615 is the remote (65R617 has voice-enabled feature whereas 65R615 does not).

QuestionHow does this compare to a high end pioneer plasma? Is it worth it to upgrade?

- Answer I'm not sure which one you're comparing to. I still have a 720P Panasonic from 2006. an a fan of it. It's got some banding but not the pixelation and unnatural edges of the LCD's. That being said, this TV blows it out of the water. It is BRIGHT and the HDR contrast is amazing. The built-in Roku interface is great as well. We had an older Panny plasma in the same room, and we can watch in conditions that would have washed out the plasma so bad we couldn't see it. It's worth the upgrade.

QuestionWith the feet on the TV, how much space is there between the bottom of the tv and the table it sits on? I have a center channel that sits on the table and wondering if the bottom of the tv will clear the center speaker which is 6.5" high.

- Answer Currently, this TCL Roku TV does not support playing audio simultaneously through the TV speakers and via private listening. When headphones are connected for private listening, it will automatically mute the TV speakers. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support
