I transferred the Thinkware 500 to my new vehicle but you need the correct power cable. I got the F-50 for my son's vehicle. (The F-50 comes with the cig power cable.) Just remove it from the old vehicle and use it in the new. I don't think the Velcro would be stable enough and would allow the unit to bounce around too much. You want a steady picture so it can be viewed clearly.

It can be detached from the adhesive mount easily so you will simply need to install a mount in each vehicle with its own cable. We also have a suction cup mount but please contact us directly regarding that accessory. We do not recommend using a different mount, as we have not tested its stability with our products. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I am running mine using the 12v adapter only. As long as the velcro is secure enough to prevent the camera from wiggling, you should be fine. Using the 12 adapter, you will only be able to record when the car is running. So parking mode is out.
