A:Answer The best way to answer this is NO and YES, at least in my situation. NO: I have a Miata type car. This model comes with 2 cameras. In my installation the rear was positioned up front, so that it covers my rear window and the interior. So instead of using the cord to put this all the way in the back, it was installed up front for a rear view of interior and what is behind me. With the top down in the summer, it will record even more of the rear. I have actually just ordered an 8 inch replacement cord as now the rear video camera cord is much longer than I need. YES: As an option you can get a separate model license plate type camera with a solar charger. So if the rear installed up front does not give you the view at the rear of your car that you like you can do that instead. That is something I may do in the future, but in my case it is not needed. I hope this answers your question and give you options.
