Question2 Questions - what is the real purpose of it being a smart vacuum - being connected to your wi-fi? Do you have to use it as a smart vacuum - or will it have the full functionality without putting it on your network?

- Answer Chynacat, those are great questions. The App for the PureOne S12 EX shows the units power level, dirt level, battery level, and filter life. It also provides cleaning performance reports and so much more! Yes, you will be able to use your smart cordless vacuum without connecting to the App.

- Answer No, but you can buy this brush at Tineco website for $99.99. Also, the regular roller the vacuum comes with, works great on both hardwood floors and carpet, In fact, there's no need for that extra brush

- Answer No, I was bummed about that. But the regular head does a decent job on hard floors. I gotta say it's quite nice if you have mixed flooring to just transition from carpet to hard floors seamlessly.

QuestionSo this is not the same as the S12 Plus? It seems quite confusing. In fact the other 2 retailers for Tineco ( Walmart and Amazon) list the vacuum as the S12Ex/S12Plus insinuating that they are one and the same. I still haven’t gotten a straight answer

- Answer No, in fact even if you bought it new you would only retain the Tineco 2 year warranty if you buy it direct from Tineco. They do not warranty their products bought from any other retailer than their "official stores", to include their Amazon storefront.
