“Can I use a Roamio OTA in one room and a Series 3 TiVo in another room? We have two TiVo Series 3 units for which we recently signed up for lifetime service. Is there any way we can incorporate either of these units into an OTA arrangement with one Roamio OTS unit, without running up the cost to where it is almost as high as the cable subscription we want to get rid of? (We already have Apple and Netflix, and plan to keep them.)”

I'm not sure what you're asking...you can use TiVo series 3 units with free over the air broadcasts. You're saying you have two Tivos, and you want to buy a third? If so, the third needs service just like the first two, although at various points they've offered discounts if you own multiple Tivos. Newer Tivo units work with "TiVo Mini" units to stream video recorded on the Tivo to other TVs in your home, which in some cases might mean you don't need as many Tivo units, though unfortunately the Sesries 3 units don't support that. As far as I know, you can copy shows between most Tivo units on the same network, if that's what you're asking. I know I can copy from my S2 to my S3, though not the other way, since the S2 doesn't support HD, of course.
