• I'd assume it only works with credit card, but you'd need to check with Tivo. It's a bit cheaper if you pay yearly, and also most Tivo units do have a lifetime service option, which costs a lot more, but eliminates monthly fees (for the lifetime of the given unit, not your lifetime). This OTA model though doesn't let you buy lifetime for it, I don't think (while the Bolt does).

• It is an annual monthly fee that appears on your credit/debit card after you subscribe.

• Once you pay with a credit card - it automatically bills that CC each month. You have options to change the card or account billed if you like.
