• The fan on this laptop (or at least on my laptop) is always on. Its not very loud but its always on.

• It has its standard soft fan hum but i wouldn't qualify it as loud. It's barely noticeable and it is seldom that it makes this type of sound.

• I had this for about a week and played with pretty much every programs and apps. The fan was fairly quite except for the times when I was working on a bigger programs like photoshop.

• No, in fact even on a hot day you can't hear it.
