“Is the battery user replaceable? The last Toshiba Satellite I had, there was no access to the battery and Toshiba wanted to change me $400.00 to replace it. I'd rather do it myself. Do I get access to the battery without having to completely dismantle the laptop.”

• No the unit is sealed. You would have to remove the bottom of the case. Having said that, it uses screws to retain the bottom.

• Unfortunately the battery is not easily accessible. This is my second Satellite in 10 years and I have had no battery issues.

• In order to access the battery, you have to open up the bottom cover. It is quite difficult to pry open but once you do, you will have easy access to the battery and other components.
