As I recently purchased one of these Toshiba computers and have the same problems after the store changed my first one because of slow running, I would suggest returning the computer for a refund. I think video editing in AVCHD/ HD and especially the new 4K format would be better with a desktop computer with a separate NVidia gaming graphics card and around 16 gig of memory in the computer. This is why I still keep a desktop computer updated just for video editing and Photoshop work. I feel this computer does not live up to the spec stated in the sales literature. GOOD LUCK!!!

The Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and Mobile Intel HD Graphics 5500 controller are the primary specs you'll want to compare with software requirements. You may want to check the 'Downloads and Updates' tab on this models support page at http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200009406 to see whether or not you have the latest video driver and, if not, update it.
