Q: QuestionIt shows that it only supports up to 3 units. Can you not add more to extend the range? I need to cover more than 7600 feet because I have a separate garage at one end of my lot and pool equipment at the other end.

Q: QuestionWhat is the maximum distance between the base and a satellite? And, can you satellite from a satellite? i.e. could you have base -> satellite -> satellite (rather than just a base powering two satellite that are both in range?

• A:Answer There isn’t an exact distance from the base station to the satellite as many factors can contribute to the connection quality, i.e. walls, stone, brick, etc. I opted for a visual line from my office desk to the satellite out in the living room (approx 22-23 feet) as it is important my main TV has a good connection. The 3rd satellite is in my master bedroom. Despite this being a small house w/standard wood frame and sheetrock, I had challenges to the master bedroom down a very short hallway from the office area. I’d end up placing the satellite on a bedside table facing the bedroom entry to avoid walls and maintain a “strong” signal. If placed near the bedroom TV in the corner, I’d only get a “medium” signal. Unable to answer satellite to satellite. The app will help you optimize connectivity.

Q: QuestionIf I have whole house Ethernet and a Comcast router, Can I plug these in at Ethernet location and back to the compass router (for faster speeds than a mesh network will provide).

• A:Answer Hi Nick, Yes, you can use the Deco's Ethernet backhaul feature to connect each node to your wired LAN. If you intend to use your Comcast router as your main network gateway/routing device, you would ideally want to set up the Deco in Access Point Mode. However, please note that some features that rely on the Deco operating in Router Mode may not be available in Access Point Mode.
