QuestionI have the AXE5300 mesh system. My internet was just upgraded to 2.5gps. Can I use 1 just AXE5400 to connect to the modem and then use that to take advantage of the new speed across my existing mesh network or do I need to replace all of the satellites?

- Answer Hi! Yes, you can use the AXE5400 as your main Deco connected to your Internet source (e.g., modem). All of our Deco models are compatible with each other, so you can connect your AXE5300 units to the AXE5400 viat he Deco app.

- Answer Hi! Yes, you can connect it to your existing network via Ethernet, then use the Deco app to set it up in either Router Mode, or Access Point Mode (depending on your networking needs) to provide 6GHz Wi-Fi for your 6GHz compatible devices. Yes, the Deco app is required for setup and management.

- Answer Hi! By default, the 6E (6 GHz) band is used for the Deco Mesh backhaul. You can conveniently enable the broadcast of the 6E band for device connectivity using the Deco app. Please refer to TP-Link FAQ 3270 for instructions on how to use this feature.

- Answer Hi! Deco Mesh Wi-Fi models can mesh with other Deco Mesh models. If your main router is not a Deco Mesh model, then it will not mesh with the Deco system, nor will it support the Deco app or ecosystem.

QuestionMy AT&T Hotspot with a Wi-Fi range of 30 ft is In a caboose. Can the Hotspot act as a router connected by ethernet to a TP-Link - Deco XE75. Would this boost the Wi-Fi signal to my 3500 sq-ft house 60 feet away? Then connecting to a second TP-Link.

- Answer Hi! The Deco can function as a router or AP, as long as the main Deco node is connected to your existing Internet source via Ethernet cable. Range will vary depending on placement and physical obstructions, among other factors.

QuestionI have starlink internet. I need to get internet to my separate apartment which is 95ft away and i would also like to get it to my barn which is almost 300ft away. I'm assuming barns a no go so maybe just run an ethernet cable to the apartment?

- Answer Hi! You could certainly install a run of Ethernet cable between the home and separate apartment for optimal results at that location. However, for the barn, we would suggest considering one of our long range, outdoor Access Points, such as the EAP225-Outdoor, or EAP610-Outdoor.

- Answer Hi! As long as the main node is connected to your existing Internet source via Ethernet, whether it's a modem, ONT, gateway, or otherwise, it should work fine.

- Answer Upon setup, all nearby devices will begin to connect with the towers. So, the answer is yes and no. Because you really "have to" let the device connect and then block it after it's paired with the tower. You should account for any devices that you want to pair with your towers and block all others.

- Answer It comes with one ethernet cable - I'm not sure what rating but I had my own already. It will use the 6 GHz as the backchannel, but I'm not sure if you can change that (I'm using 2.4 and 5 for the WiFi and 6 for the backchannel, which is how it set itself up).
