A:AnswerThe main Deco node needs to be connected to the existing Internet source (e.g., Starlink gateway) via Ethernet. Additional Deco nodes may be connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi Mesh (if within adequate proximity). We recommend contacting our support team directly to provide additional details about your network environment so we can give specific recommendations on optimal installation and configuration for your needs. You can reach out via phone, live chat, or email using our TP-Link Support Portal: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/contact-technical-support/
A:AnswerHi Hotwire,
As long as your ONT supports Ethernet connectivity, you should be able to connect the main Deco node directly to the ONT via Ethernet and use our intuitive Deco app to set up and enjoy Seamless Mesh Wi-Fi 6E connectivity throughout your home. If your Internet provider has proprietary provisioning steps when changing routers, giving them a quick call during setup may help as well.
A:AnswerThe pulsing GREEN light means the mesh device is upgrading firmware. Depending on your internet connection this should only take a few minutes. If it continues to pulse for an extended amount of time, unplug it- move it closer to the main router (if using wireless connection for your mesh system) and plug back in. Let it complete the firmware upgrade and then move it back to the desired place.
A:AnswerJust like using an internet modem (cable or other). Plug Ethernet line from starlink controller to X75 main router (the one you are going to use as main.)
A:AnswerHi RAYTEX,

A:AnswerAll depends on placement of one of the mesh devices. To get a possible good signal to you garage, place the mesh device along the wall closest to the garage (inside of course). You can also add another mesh device in your garage to boost the signal from the connection to the one inside.
A:AnswerHi Taz666pain,
Yes, TP-Link Deco Mesh Systems are compatible with virtually all Internet services, as long as the main Deco is connected to your existing Internet source (e.g., modem, ONT, gateway) via Ethernet cable. They are designed for quick and intuitive setup using the Deco app, providing convenient management from your phone.
A:AnswerThere should be no reason why it would not. You will need to connect your ISP's modem to the main node via ethernet and you may need to configure the WAN based on your ISPs requirements but it should work.
A:Answerif by non-docsis router you mean not cable based, yes. Mine connected to an AT&T gigabit BGW210 modem without any issues. Their documentation mentions no limitation concerning the inbound protocols.
A:AnswerHi TJ,
The Deco XE75 Pro supports Port Forwarding, DNS server settings, and VPN functionality. For malware protection, HomeShield is available in both free and subscription-based options. Feel free to visit our official TP-Link website for more information.
A:AnswerIt will be faster to connect to the modem instead of slaving it to the router you have now. Especially if you plan on using a mesh system. Total performance will most likely be limited by your spectrum modem.
