QuestionI have Verizon 5G wifi which uses dynamic IP addresses which causes location problems for my Hulu Live TV. Will this give me a static IP address to correct this?

- Answer Hi! If you're referring to your WAN IP address (the Internet-facing IP address supplied by your Internet service provider), then no. That IP is supplied and controlled by your ISP. The Deco cannot override that. However, if you are referring to the local IP addresses assigned to each device within your home network, you can configure IP address reservation, or DHCP reservation using the Deco app.

- Answer Yes, each node is identical in terms of hardware. Only during setup is one designated as the Main Deco. Yes, you can use the QoS feature offered by the Deco Mesh System to prioritize device bandwidth.

QuestionWould only one of the devices require a patch cord connection to the internet modem or would all three. It's not clear to me how if only one has a direct cat6 connection to the modem how the other two are receiving a communications.

- Answer Hi! Yes, only the main Deco node needs to be wired via Ethernet to your existing Internet source. The remaining nodes connect via Mesh Wi-Fi.

- Answer It should work, but it'll depend on the materials the buildings are made of. If everything is stucco and old school plaster the signal might not be strong enough.

- Answer Yes it is compatible with Google fiber or any other internet service. It plugs into the modem of your supplier. You still need the modem that all suppliers include with their service.

QuestionWhat is the difference between WiFi6 and WiFi6E? Is one better? If so which would I need for gaming?

- Answer Wi-Fi 6e is a better version of Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 6e gives you access to the 6Ghz band (little to no electronics use the band). You would see some speed and latency improvements. if you have a device that supports Wi-Fi 6e, you can use the 6Ghz band and that could really help with keeping a low latency for gaming. Both Wi-Fi types are great. You would likely see better performance from either type.

QuestionWhat is model name of bottom of XEPro units? I bought a XE75 Pro three pack and believe they are not pro units. All ports are gray and none are marked like I have seen in the reviews. I paid more for the 2.5 port and think I got a switcharoo.

QuestionI am considering buying this to setup a mesh network for my AT&T Fiber. My current router only supports Wi-Fi 5, so I would not be able to access Wi-Fi 6 with these right?

- Answer Hi! The Deco XE75 Pro will allow your Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E enabled devices to utilize these protocols. Devices that use older protocols can still connect, but using Wi-Fi 5 or other protocols, depending on the supported protocols of each connected device.

- Answer Hi! Yes, you can connect it to your existing network via Ethernet, then use the Deco app to set it up in either Router Mode, or Access Point Mode (depending on your networking needs) to provide 6GHz Wi-Fi for your 6GHz compatible devices. Yes, the Deco app is required for setup and management.

- Answer Hi! By default, the 6E (6 GHz) band is used for the Deco Mesh backhaul. You can conveniently enable the broadcast of the 6E band for device connectivity using the Deco app. Please refer to TP-Link FAQ 3270 for instructions on how to use this feature.

- Answer Hi! Deco Mesh Wi-Fi models can mesh with other Deco Mesh models. If your main router is not a Deco Mesh model, then it will not mesh with the Deco system, nor will it support the Deco app or ecosystem.
