As long as the sd card is formatted to your phone you can move your apps, music, pictures and files can be purchased on the sd card. If the sd card is not formatted it will erase everything on the card to format it. I recommend buying a new blank sd card out it in your phone go to settings and storage and then it'll ask to format sd card say yes and then go back to storage and you can move w.e you want to it and save space on your phone
