- Answer 3.1 has 3 speakers compare to the 2.1 has 2 speakers. Better voice sound than the 2.1.

QuestionWill the Soundbar Turn-on/Off automatically with the TV?I just bought a Vizio with a Samsung soundbar. The Samsung soundbar will automatically turn-on when the TV is turned on, but will NOT turn off when the TV is turned-off. Consequently, I am thinking of switching. Will the Vizio soundbar turn off automatically when the TV is turned off?

- Answer If you can program it in your remote, yes it can, otherwise it has a energy save setting that will shut itself off after about 10 minute of unuse. That setting can be turned off or on.

QuestionCan I control the dialog volume with the center channel?My main problem with some DVDs and Blu-rays is the soundtrack is so loud and the dialog is not. I want to be able to control the sound of the dialog without constantly going up and down on the remote. Can I set the center channel at a higher level and then sit back and watch the film with audible dialog?

QuestionWe hooked ours up to our Vizio Tv with the HDMI cable, not working on our TV?- sound bar does work - hooked up with HDMI cable - the Tv shows it has found the sound bar but not connecting apparently (no sound) - it will turn off the Tv speaker but no sound is coming from the sound bar - anything we can trouble shoot to get this thing to work or will have to return

- Answer Use the orange out coaxail cable for sound hookup. Be sure to check that you hooked into the proper hdmi output from the tv. It's not 1 of the regular outputs that's used for output for other devices

QuestionHow exactly does the 3rd channel work?Specs indicate that it supports DTS 3.0, so in that case it makes sense (3 discrete channels are played back, the 3rd one being a center/dialog). But DTS 3.0 is quite a rarity so far being available only on a handful of blu-rays. So what happens to the 3rd channel when you feed it more common formats? For instance something with fewer channels like 2.0 PCM? Or something with more channels like 5.1 DD/DTS?

- Answer Thank you for inquiring about our product. When listening to a 2.0 signal, it would only play 2.0 audio. When listening to 5.1, that third channel for dialog would be played. Thanks again and have a great day.
