why is there no tv tuner included? null

There is no TV tuner because it is not legally considered a TV. Vizio is very clear that this is a "display" or for lack of a better word a Monitor. Your cable box or an xbox one have their own tuners and can recieve the signals you need, however if you want any sort of OTA signal, you would need an external tuner. As for why, the main reason would be the prices can be lowered for not offering a tuner in their product since its one less feature, and within the average person's home they will not need the tuner for OTA transmission, because they are using a cable reciever.

The company decided not to put it in. Why would you need it, unless you don't have cable or satellite provider?
