To the best of my discernment yes, the menus are rendered at the panels native 4k. However, I would recommend watching content, not scrutinizing menus. :P I could see how it could be an annoyance though, just messing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't answer about the menu, but if you have a 2016 P-series, which is the same as the 2017, you're lucky. The P-series has taken a major hit in quality this year. I owned the Quantum for almost 3 weeks and there are just to many problems, and I got it at 25% off. Being this is the first year of the Quantum, I would let the dust settle and wait till next year. You have a much more stable P-series than this years. If you already have a 65" P-series, you won't notice much of a difference in picture quality unless you're feeding the tv a strictly 4K native signal. Streaming and upscaling are both terrible.
