Unless your cable box is putting out 4K which is highly doubtful as of yet, use any of 1-4 and save 5 for new gaming systems until 4K cable or direc tv comes out with 4K units then use HDMI 5 for that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI 5 is the only input that will do 4k @ 60 Hz. If you don't know what that means, you can plug your cable box anywhere, but should probably stick with HDMI 5 anyway. If your cable box doesn't output 4k (it probably doesn't), use some other input and save HDMI 5 for a blu-ray player.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use the 30hz connection for cable box. Use the 60hz connection if you plug a PC in.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use 2 or 3 they are on the bottom. 4 & 5 are on the side. If you are into gaming, plug your PS4 or xbox one into 5. Most new games are 4k capable. That leaves 3 or 4 for your blu-ray or older gaming platform. 1 is the ARC location, which I believe would be for your sound bar or receiver. Hope this helps.
