QuestionCan you hear a message as it is being left on the answering machine from the handsets? Can you then answer the call, as they are leaving the message? (My present phone system allows that and its very useful for #'s I don't recognize, but want to talk to.)

- Answer Hi - Missed calls on the VTech IS8151-4 is a shared feature. Deleting the Caller ID information in the call log of one handset will also delete it on the rest of the handsets. Thank you, -VTech Support

QuestionIs there a speakerphone mode available? I get tired of holding a phone handset up to my ear for 45 minutes while on hold. Nice to be able to turn on speakerphone mode, and set the handset down until someone comes on the line.

- Answer Hi - Yes, the telephone base and the cordless handsets of the VTech IS8151-4 have speakerphone feature. You can use the speakerphone on the telephone base without picking up the cordless handset. On the other hand, the speakerphone of the cordless handset will only function if it is not cradle on the charger/telephone base. Thank you, -VTech Support

- Answer Bill - Yes, the Caller ID announce feature of the VTech IS8151-4 can be set to off. To turn on or off the caller ID announce feature: 1. Press MENU when the telephone is not in use. 2. Press the arrow down button on the handset or telephone base to scroll to Caller ID annc, then press SELECT. 3. Press the arrow down button on the handset or telephone base to highlight Off, then press SELECT. There is a confirmation tone. Thank you, -VTech Support

- Answer Lori - Any saved information in the VTech IS8151-4 will not be deleted in the event of power outages. The only setting you need to setup once power comes back is the time and date. Moreover, the system has a battery back up mode feature which allows your telephone system to use the stored power from the handset’s battery to operate. - Answer Tom - The VTech IS8151-4 does not have a Voicemail light indicator instead has a Voicemail Indicator on the display screen to alert you that you have a new voicemail message from your telephone service provider.
