A:Answer I have DVD videos stored on external hard drives but these videos are not stored as just one big file and so require a DVD player program to play the video seamlessly. The video, on the DVD, is stored in sections, as multiple video files, and can only be played back seamlessly because of the DVD player or because of the DVD player software. In addition, some player programs, will not play the videos without a HDMI display connection, for copyright protection. There is software, available, that will take the video files, on the DVD, and convert them into one long file that you can store on your hard drive. However, this file will then no longer have the playback features that you get when you play the video from the DVD or with a DVD player program.
