- Answer I'm currently using one of these as a Time Machine backup on my iMac. It comes pre-formatted for Windows, but it's a simple matter to do an Erase in Disk Utility, and then you're good to go...

- Answer Sounds like the same problem I was having. The short answer is that manufactures no longer include Win 7. What was confusing to me was one place said yes it is compatible another said no. Quite frankly the print was so tiny I was unable to read the compatibility statement. So read what it says, if you can make it out.

- Answer Little late I know... but.. if you are able to actually SEE the drive, you should be able to Reformat it to be compatible. IF you can see the drive, right click on it. Scroll to Format, set it for NTFS and you SHOULD be good to go. IF that doesn't work, Contact the manufacturer, it's under warranty thru them for at least 2 years.

- Answer I have both the Passport and the easy store. They both work the same as far as I know but I am also not a tech savvy person. I have one for my business computer and one for my personal computer. The Geek Squad rep at Bestbuy said they were basically the same.

- Answer Good question. Do you have a lot of issues with "shock" blowing up your electronic devices? If yes, the problem is not with the devices. If no, then I'd say no, you won't have an issue of shock with this device. If this is plugged into your computer via USB port, and shock comes, it will come through your computer, so the problems will be much worse than a $40 external DVD R/W. A surge protector, with your computer plugged into it, should provide the safety ordinarily needed.

- Answer Probably not unless there is a way on the PS to format the drive to the PS file system. I wouldn’t bother. If you run into issues WD support is off-shored canned response garbage.

- Answer Yes, it first needs to be formated to ASPS or Extended Journaled using the Macs Disk utility first. It is what I use for my 2017 iMac.
