QuestionWill this be compatible with my very old OSx 10.9.5 which can no longer be upgraded? It was my mother's before she passed. It's a Late 2012. Just bought a much newer Mini Mac and need to be able to transfer from old to new.

- Answer Yes. It is formatted Journaled Extended. That is a format that even 10.4 would recognize. You can either use it to copy individual folders, or you could perform an entire Time Machine backup on the older computer and then on the new machine use Migration assistant to get all the files.

QuestionAt the end of a back-up a message comes out and says....eject properly or words to that effect.....what is the proper way to remove the cable after the back-up is complete?

QuestionI don't seem to be able to use time machine to back up, The disk crashed and needed to be reformatted. The first 70GB backs up fine and then I freezes and over the next several days it only backs up a couple of gigs. Is it compatible with OS 11.2.3?

- Answer Same question I asked before purchasing it. Since it is a WD-my Passport for Mac it didn’t need formatting. I also have Sierra and it works just fine.
