YES AND NO!!! The reality is that it has the opportunity for a code inside, not the code itself inside the box. To get your free trial, you will need a 12-digit code to enter into playstation network. Your purchase will have a small colored paper with instructions on how to obtain this code. This colored paper will have a QR code (and URL address if you prefer) for you to access WD's designated webpage to get your PSN code. The main things you'll need when on this webpage are: the serial number of your specific drive (labeled SN on the back of the physical drive) and you'll need a document to upload that is "proof of purchase". BOTH ARE REQUIRED TO CONTINUE. And no, I have not seen a designated outline of what qualifies as proof of purchase, but I'm guessing a receipt of your purchase is what's needed for this. This is as far as I've gotten because when I was doing this, I was told that my Serial Number has already been used even though this is a new product and I've never used the voucher yet so...yeah, you get the opportunity to get a code, no real code inside.
