A:AnswerYou can use a jet pack, or a, cell phone. But an iPad won't fit in the cradle.. you "might" get an improved cellular signal right next to the cradle..but get very far
away from the cradle and you won't pickup any of the boosted signal. I use my phone in the cradle..and turn its mobile hotspot function on.
A:AnswerI also live in a very rural area and have issues with no service on my phone. This web boost really does work to increase your service. I can now talk on the phone down entire roads without ever dropping the call where I use to have no service at all.
A:AnswerIt amplifies the signal ; so you do need a signal . Even a really weak one will be amplified. I drive through the mountains and have been into a mountain tunnel 1 mile deep on both sides. It held the signal all the way through and too the other side. (In the past I would loose the signal 1/10th of a mile into the same tunnel in the past. - this was in Va and I've tested it over 10X going each way through that and 3 other tunnels with great success)
A:AnswerThis is not based on type of phone or carrier. It is a cradle that you place the phone in with an external antenna. It will work with any carrier and phone (that will fit in the cradle.)
A:AnswerThis particular model is designed specifically for a vehicle unfortunately . If you don’t have the time call the Geek squad awesome people.very knowledgeable Good luck Sam .
A:Answerit can if you have a 12Volt inverter, but they have a better product for in-home and mobile home/Truck use. In the RV I like the RV model which uses a 120 plug very very well.
A:AnswerNo not really. You’ll want either the one for truckers or the RV one. On this one the device has to be in the holder. The other two just require it to be in proximity to the internal antenna.
A:AnswerMaybe. I’ve used mine to keep connectivity through 2 mile tunnels inside a mountain and had no issues. General rule of thumb though is if you have at least 1 bar it will amp tha up to 2 to 4 bars. If there’s no cell signal at all then there may be nothing to amplify. In my case both sides of the mountain had cell signals.
A:AnswerYes to both questions. It’s very flexible to move as needed. As long as you gave access to a cigarette lighter style round 12volt socket then you’re good to go.
