A:AnswerSorry nope. These are 3-prong grounded devices with a footprint larger that half of an outlet. The WEMO Mini plug will fit two-to-an-outlet. They cost less, but are simpler and don't monitor energy or follow as many rules as this devices.
A:AnswerI would not recommend a WeMo switch directly in line for a freezer. You would introduce another possible source of failure between your freezer and the power power source. You could insert the WeMo into the adjacent outlet, so the freezer is still directly plugged into the wall, but I’m not sure if the WeMo alert for “off” is triggered by a power outage or if it is only triggered by the smart outlet actively being turned off. I’ll have to test it!
