QuestionI just installed this over my gas range. I have 16 inches of clearance from the stove top to the bottom of the microwave. I’ve noticed it gets pretty hot while cooking. Is this normal? I was told 13-16 in. clearance was fine???

- Answer Ya, I have already tried dealers around me. If they carry a product, they should be required to carry replacement parts. Thanks anyway. I will have to remember to investigate which dealer carries replacement parts (or if they are widely available) before I buy a new appliance in the future. Lesson learned!

QuestionDoes this unit come in black stainless? I have read a lot of questions about the venting outside. Just to be clear. I have an existing microwave that vents outside. Does this unit have a top exhaust vent so I can use my same exhaust vent>?

- Answer Hi lou. Unfortunately, this Whirlpool® Microwave does not come in black stainless steel. This Microwave may be vented vertical or horizontal. We hope this helps!

Questionwe have a vent to outside, can it be installed NOT to also circulate air into the house ... i don't WANT greasy and or smoky exhaust being circulated into and throughout my kitchen or the adjoining rooms!!

QuestionThis will be replacing an old hood that is 6 inches in height, so the space where this will go would be half wall and some ceramic tile backsplash. So my question is can this be installed over tile/partial tile ( the bottom 4-5 inches of this)?

- Answer The only way I can figure is to use the 30 sec button & after 10 sec, just open the door. You can then cancel the rest of the time.
