        Answer

I'm assuming you're talking about the convection function. It depends on the temperature setting, but I did a side by side comparison compared to my gas oven at 365 degrees. The microwave was faster at about 15 minutes.

            Answer

Ronnie's honey, great question. The microwave can be vented through the roof or out the back, and the motor will need to be adjusted to make this happen. All microwaves come with brackets for mounting and have a guide to help you. I have provided a copy of the installation guide as that is the best information I can provide you with to see if this model will work in your home. We have other models as well so feel free to contact us as needed. Best, Melanie https://www.whirlpool.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Installation%20Instructions%20-%20W10724870.pdf

              Answer

First of all I would suggest you get a toaster to toast bread. This model does not have the browning eliminate that the $1000 model has. So, if you want a microwave that toasts bread then get the $1000 model. However in the 8 years I had the $1000 model I never toasted anything in it. Save the $500 and get an upscale toaster for $50.

No, the sides are black. Also, the design of this model prevents it from being used a free standing microwave.

It seems like it is 4 inches deeper than my current microwave, does it look funny sticking out when it is installed? Does it get in the way of stove use? Anyone have a side photo? Thanks   (3 Answers)

                    Answer

I had the same concerns but mine is working just fine. It sticks out a little further but doesn't obstruct stovetop cooking. You just have to be careful when opening the microwave door.
