• A:Answer First are you installing over a stove. If so there is usually a require height over the burner the micro should be placed. In your package, there are instructions on placement for vents. My vent hole is in the cabinet that is ceiling high and a hole thru the top of the cabinet , thru the studs and out side vent.

• A:Answer The mounting plate is a standard 17 1/4 inch from the top. you can screw the plate through the tiles but will have to add a spacer above the tiles which is the same thickness as the tiles.
