QuestionWe live in an old farmhouse with low water pressure. Will that affect this Dishwasher?

- Answer It shouldn’t! A dishwasher doesn’t work off water pressure. Once the amount of water needed for a cycle the water is then pumped through the spinners. Any pressure needed to clean the dishes is generated by the dishwasher itself.

QuestionI’ve had this dishwasher for about a year and a half and it has stopped draining during wash. I believe the pump isn’t working. How do I go about fixing this?

- Answer I suggest you first check the filter to make sure it’s not clogged. Unlike some models of dishwashers this one does not have a larger food particle cutter which chops up and food left on dishes. I always make sure all food is rinsed off before I place the dish in the dishwasher. If the filter-drain is clear then I suggest you call Best Buy and schedule a service appointment.

- Answer Yes. They should fit the standard rack configuration. Nonetheless, the top rack can be adjusted up or down by about an inch either way. I wouldn’t do the up/down adjustment every other day since I’m not 100% sure on the fixtures (it’s a click-in and pull-out situation), but it gives you options for something like a regular plate height.

- Answer You have to attach them yourself. They come wrapped in plastic inside the dishwasher. I had my sons put them on as you have to place the dishwasher on it's side in order to access the openings on the bottom of the unit where the casters fit in.

QuestionHow many gallons of water does each type of cycle use? I'm on a septic system and need a dishwasher but need to limit how many gallons I use at a time.

- Answer I have no idea how many gallons of water it uses for a cycle. The answer to that should either be in the Specifications or Description of this item online at Best Buy under this Whirlpool Dishwasher. If you touch on the Specifications you should be able to find what your looking for and if not there Descriptions should be your next stop. If you can’t find an answer anyway else you should call and speak to an Appliance Expert employee. I have found them very helpful and most won’t give up until they get an answer.

- Answer Hi Chris, we can only advise you what the installation guide states. There are no specific instructions saying you can use a permanent hot water supply and drain.

- Answer It is not a cutting board top. It’s a type of synthetic laminate some times used on kitchen counters. It should not be used for anything that you wouldn’t use your kitchen counter for. You definitely wouldn’t want to use a knife to cut anything on this top because that would damage it. I don’t know if this answer is what your looking for because you didn’t ask a question. It was more of a statement. I do hope I was helpful.
