- Answer That is not a hole, it is the indicator light that tells you when the dishwashing running (green) and when it has finished (blue). Good luck.

QuestionSpecifications say it's 34.5 inches tall. However, the space I want to install this dishwasher in is only 34 inches tall. Does the dishwasher allow you to adjust its height via adjustable legs? Need to get it shorter by about a half an inch to fit.

- Answer I don't believe the dishwasher has adjustable legs. However, it comes with detachable wheels. Based on the specifications provided on Whirlpool's own product page, the dishwasher height becomes 33.5 inches with the wheels removed. For the cabinet opening dimensions, it states 34 inches is the required minimum as measured from the lowest point on the underside of the countertop, which may be reduced to 33.5 inches (851 mm) by removing the wheels and perforated area of insulation (blanket) on dishwasher. Questionwhat is the average running timewhat is a typical time for completion of an average load? I would prefer not to run the heat for drying but must use a sanitize setting. if the water is filtered as it enters the machine, how easy is it to access and clean the filter? the extraordinary length of time it seems to take has been the greatest inhibiting factor towards persuading my husband to purchase/use one. thanks

QuestionIs the silverware tray able to be moved to the front or side of a dish rack?? On the pictures, it looks like it can be, but customer reviews say its is attached to the door and can't be moved?? This is something that really needs to clarified.... Thanks

QuestionI just had this dishwasher installed. It's on the 1 hour cycle to test the machine. It is very loud, definitely not 48dba. I can hear it swooshing from all the way across the house behind closed doors. Is this normal bc it's on the 1 hr cycle or defective

- Answer The level of noise of a built in dishwasher is measured with it installed into a cabinet of some type. In order to have any DW be quiet you must have an adequate enclosure. I installed my DW inside a cabinet opening and since one side was open to a hollow inaccessible dead area under the counter top I added a piece of insulation there. The only noise you should have is that coming from the front of the DW which is well insulated as long as the insulated kick panel is in place.

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry regarding our Whirlpool appliances! By opening the door, you are pausing cycle. At this point you could add dishes, depending on how far the cycle has advanced. Obviously, you wouldn't want to add dishes after the wash portion of the cycle has completed. Once you have added the dishes, you can simply close the door and press start to resume the cycle. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you.

- Answer The control buttons are on the top right hand corner of the door. On the flat portion, not visible from the front. Very nice clean design! It is very quiet, the quietest one I cannot say.
