Q: QuestionI want to buy a microwave oven WMC30516HZ. I need a 27 inch wide trim kit. The one specified is MK2167AZ. This is unavailable. The salesman says that Trim kit MK2227AZ will work. Is this so? What is the width of the side upright panels?

• A:Answer Hi Boyd, our Low Profile over the range Microwave Hoods do not have an associated trim kit available. They are meant to install directly over a standard 30" range where the vent hood would normally be installed. Thank you for your question.

• A:Answer I had the same problem. Either cut a hole in your cabinet or sand down the parts of the trim kit that prevent it from laying flush. I had already cut out other holes for part of the trim kit, and I didn't want to hack away even more of the cabinet frame (damaging its stability), so I sanded the protruding parts of the trim kit down. Takes a bit of time however. Good luck - Greg
