Q: QuestionMy questions are: 1-does it need to be vented to a window? If so, how long is hose to get from unit to a window? 2-it says dual hose. Is the second hose to drain water??? How often does that need to happen? Do both hoses come with the unit??

• A:Answer The hoses move air through the condenser located in the unit. In order to cool the air inside the home, the heat has to be removed. Removing hot air is the function of the two hoses. One is intake, the other is exhaust. According to the specs, an external water drain is not necessary unless you are in a very humid environment.

• A:Answer Did you check the intake airways? I would check to see in anything got in there by accident. Also check the black filter you need to place in the back before you run it. Maybe rinse it and dry it thoroughly. Just a thought.
