QuestionOver Fireplace?Would this work for a mount over fireplace? You wouldn't have the cords running strict down, it would have to jog over to the side of the fireplace to a plug in??

- Answer Yes it would work..... You will have to cut out sheetrock and drill holes in your wall studs or drill a hole in your top plate of the wall to pass the wires. If you have basic construction knowledge, it should take a few hours. If you are not comfortable doing yourself, you should consider hiring a contractor.

- Answer Yes. I installed mine behind a Sanus "Full-Motion" TV Wall Mount (fully articulating). Just make sure and leave a little slack from the outlet to the mount arm, so it doesn't stretch or pinch when the arms are fully extended. Suggestion: make a 'service-loop' of cable about 4" diameter, then tie-wrap it to the arm. That way the loop expands like a spring coil, rather than stretching. Similar to the icemaker water line behind your refrigerator.

QuestionSafe to put wires behind wall?Would a wiring inspector or electrician recommend placing the provided wires behind a closed off wall? Doesn't seem up to code.

- Answer This product is meant for hiding standard cabling behind the wall. You're not actually running line voltage bare wire. It's meant for passing HMDI, RCA, Coax etc.. cabling from the TV behind the sheetrock down towards the floor where the entertainment system would normally be. It is completely safe when used correctly. The romex cable included is the same you would find in the walls or ceiling for your power/lighting and is a cased wire, not bare. Thanks.

QuestionHow to hide the TV & cable box wires but I don't have a TV storage unit?It appears that this would work only if I have a floor storage unit so that the hole can be hidden behind the TV storage unit furniture, however I have a wall-mounted shelf, because we cannot fit a storage unit underneath without it blocking a narrow hallway entrance, do you have any solutions?

- Answer You would have to have an electrician install a plug that stays hidden behind the TV. Also you would need a cable jack and anything else installed behind the TV to hide it. This product is essentially an in wall rated extension cord that connects your TV plug to an already existing plug.
