You will utilize your existing deadbolt. The inside part will need to be removed to install, so not really just a stick on device, but is just a screw in process. The outside will remain completely the same. Batteries have lasted over 6 months. I believe I have only changed them once after owning for almost 1 year. Locking and unlocking multiple times every day.

It doesn't replace your deadbolt but attaches to the inside of your door, working with your current deadbolt hardware. It's an internal component that automates the locking and unlocking of your deadbolt. As for battery life, it can vary based on usage, but Wyze Lock is designed to have long battery life. The lock is powered by four AA batteries, and under normal use, the batteries can last several months. The actual battery life will depend on factors such as how frequently the lock is used, the quality of the batteries, and environmental conditions. Wyze Lock provides low-battery warnings in the Wyze app, allowing you to replace the batteries before they are completely depleted.
