• A:Answer The outside of the lock is - The inside, where the batteries and thumbturn are, needs to be inside your home. So for example, you couldnt install the lock on a gate that is 100% outdoors. Hope that helps!

Q: QuestionSo I'm very interested in getting this but I have a question. I notice there are different locks that look the same but are more expensive. But does this lock work with Alexa? Like if I was to ask Alexa to lock the front front door, would she be able to?

• A:Answer You have to be careful which lock you chose, this one does not have wifi built into it. The more expensive one should, just read the description carefully. I made this mistake thinking it had wifi capabilities so I can lock/unlock when not home. We ended up having to buy the module that gets inserted into the lock to make it wifi compatible, which ended up being more expensive than just buying the lock with the wifi in the first place. I have not tried to hook it up to Alexa so I’m not sure about that.

• A:Answer If it is not WIFI it won’t connect with Google. I have the Yale X WiFi lock and it is in my Google home app. Can also access through Nest app. I don’t think the Bluetooth only feature does. With that being said it does not allow me to unlock my door with Google voice command.

• A:Answer Hi - The Yale Assure Lock 2 with Wi-Fi has an Airbnb integration. You do need the Wi-Fi version (or you can buy the Yale Wi-Fi Smart Module) for the Airbnb integration. I hope that helps!

• A:Answer Yes, this is an optional feature that you can disable in the Yale Access app if you'd like. The lock can also Auto-Lock once you leave, and when you close the door after getting home.
