A:AnswerYes, there is a 1/4" jack on the front panel of the receiver for use with wired headphones. When you plug in the headphones the speakers will be muted. If you use a 1/4" to 3.5 mm adapter you can also use ear buds.
A:AnswerIt depends on two things. Most importantly it depends on the quality of your speakers, and perhaps upon their sensitivity. I have great performance from mine. I have owned several Yamaha recievers, over the years, and Klipsch speakers. They have always performed with real excellence.
A:AnswerNot enough information. What nominal impedance are your "pevy" speakers? Any amplifier can "power" a set of speakers with an appropriate impedance but the question you may be trying to ask is whether this amplifier is sufficient to power your PA speakers at full volume without distorting, to which I would answer, 'probably not.' For a PA you should get a proper professional PA amplifier with the capability of properly driving the speakers.
A:AnswerI attached my Bose Acoustimass Series ii system and the sound is fabulous. Just be sure that you follow the original Bose instructions. I also scrounged a Bose VCS-10 center speaker and added it.
A:AnswerIf it is a powered subwoofer with an RCA input, yes. If it is passive, it would need to be inline with your main Left and Right speakers connected to those speaker outputs.
A:AnswerThere is a Yamaha AV Controller app that I loaded on my Android phone that nicely controls the receiver from other rooms, i.e. goes through walls.
A:AnswerJim, please make sure you have the manufacturer's recommended space around the receiver. All receivers have internal components that will overheat if the ventilation is not adequate. If you cannot get more space around the receiver there are audio cooling units that will assist with ventilation.
Good luck!
A:AnswerIt is likely that you have speakers that are too low impedance for the receiver you have them connected to, or there is possibly a strand of wire from the positive speaker terminal sticking out connecting with the chassis of your receiver. What gauge speaker wire are you using? What model of speakers do you have connected?
A:AnswerNo, the USA model is only designed for USA power sources. Taiwan, Brazil and Central and South America models only have a manual voltage selector that must be set before plugging it in.
