A:AnswerI don't see why not, there are two outputs, if you're only using one sub then you should be able to put the transducer in the other sub output port. I plan on doing the same thing in the near future.
A:AnswerGo to the Yamaha site and read the instruction manual. This unit is typically set up for surround sound. I set up a zone 2 with 6 speakers (2 per room) and fed that into my amplifier. So I can do surround sound on zone 1 say for my cable box with surround sound and set the zone 2 to input the tuner (or whatever ie. internet radio, cd player, etc.) doing two different (or the same) units in other rooms. If you are hooking up only 4 speakers in one room you might want to read the user manual or check with Yamaha support.
A:AnswerConnect one pair to the front-left and front-right binding posts, that will be Zone 1. Connect the other pair to the “EXTRA SP1” (F. PRESENCE/ZONE 2) left and right binding posts, that will be Zone 2. See the section in the Owners Manual beginning on Page 16. You may also need to go through the Speaker Setup section of the Settings menu in order to assign the correct connections to Zone 2.
