QuestionLooking for a system that will work well with music, blues and rock with solid punchy bass as well as movies/tv. Is this the one ? In this price range. I know some systems cut out the back speakers when playing music like cds.

- Answer This system definitely sounds great with rock. Movies sound amazing. The bass is powered, and sounds amazing. It delivers the full punch sound that you're looking for. And the speakers deliver a full, rich sound. As for the cd's, I'm not sure because I usually use the Bluetooth setting and listen to music from my phone.

- Answer hello yes. you can connect your tv in the back to the output outlet via hdmi cable. All other equipment x box, dvd, fire stick connect to the hdmi inputs that are in the back of the equipment. in addition you can connect via bluetooth your iPod/phone to broadcast the sound through the yamaha home theater. The instructions provided are very explanatory and clear. In my opinion is not hard if you pay attention and follow the instructions carefully and the amount of equipment you plan to connect as well as how they are placed on your entertainment center if you have one. So far i am very pleased and impressed with the quality and sound. hope this helps. happy new year.

- Answer I would not mount directly to the ceiling...I feel this would be detrimental to sound quality but they sound fantastic at ceiling level wall mounted....really it's just a matter of you do it you like it....leave that way....

- Answer I definitely recommend buying speaker wire. The wire that comes with is 20 gauge I believe. For mounting, I'm not sure how you're wanting to mount the speakers, but I just bought some rocketfish tilting wall mounts. They definitely do the job, and they sell a 5 pack.

QuestionI dont have a media room and not really sure how effective these 5.1 surround systems are in a living room. If someone has installed this in their living room, could you please advise how good the sound effects are in a open layout living room?

- Answer I also have a weird, open layout living room . Fortunately I am able to put my sofa against a wall and able to place it directly across from my TV. since that is my primary location to watch movies and play video games I set up the rear surround speakers on either end of the sofa facing towards the middle seat. and it sounds super good. In no way am I an audiophile but I do pay attention to good sound detail and this absolutely fits the bill. I went through four other setups from Best Buy before I picked this Yamaha. even if you only utilize the front three channels with subwoofer and not the rear surround, the sound of that you get far outstrips any of the Soundbar setups you can buy at the similar price point.

- Answer Probably because the AV receiver has a Bluetooth setting. All my music is on a Kindle Fire HDX10 device which I was playing on a Bose Wireless Bluetooth speaker. No more. I hit the Bluetooth button on the remote and BOOM- The Sound Of Silence by Disturbed never sounded so good. This is a really good product!

QuestionI have a projector and I use optical output of appleTV to get audio to this and video to projector. Now I want to watch movies from Amazon Fire Stick that is HDMI out. Can I connect Fire Stick to this HDMI-in and connect HDMI-out to projector?

- Answer Yes everything in the picture is included however it is not wireless. I purchased a Rocket fish wireless adapter for the rear speakers and that works well to make them wireless.
