In a word...yes. It has plenty of power for just about any speaker. I'm using a Denon (5.1) receiver with a Definitive Technologies powered subwoofer. All the rest of my speakers are passive. I have a very large living room with a 10 foot ceiling and I'm getting all the volume I can ask for. For music, I'm using an M&K Goliath woofer and Visonik Davids for my front right and front left speakers. My surround spearkers are Paradigms mounted on stands at the rear of my living room. My Denon 5.1 receiver has less power than this Yamaha receiver, and I'm having no problems with playing music or movies at loud levels.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will work fine with those speakers. It'll sound even better after you run the YPAO.
