I DON'T THINK YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM ,MYSELF I HAVE A COMBINATION OF KLIPSCH AND POLK AUDIO BECAUSE I LOVE THE SOUND OF BOTH AND HAVE HAD BOTH MY ENTIRE LIFE OF AUDIO AND SURROUND.I JUST ADDED RF-28'S TO MY FRONT AND A SECOND KLIPSCH 12 IN. 400 WATT USD ALONG WITH MY POLK STUFF, BOTH HAVE THERE OWN FANTASTIC SOUND HOPE THAT GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO WORK WITH.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Too much power? I highly doubt. I'm not familiar with the Polk speakers as I run klipsch but it runs my setup just fine (rf-7ii, rc-64ii, rs-62ii, rb-62ii, r-115sw, and a set of elevated rb-51ii). Coming from a denon 3313, I first tried out the 1070. I absolutely loved how it sounded so I exchanged it for the 2070. I have no regrets with this receiver, and am actually considering running an external amp for the front three channels

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You want to have more power to drive your speakers. It’s less power that will cause distortion and blow your speakers. Check to see the power rating in RMS for your speakers. As long as you aren’t turning the volume up all the way you should be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This receiver puts out 140 watts of power from 20 to 20Khz. Your main R/L are rated at 160 watts but the others are rated lower....but not much. Keep in mind that you will not be running this receiver all out. When ever we run a piece of equipment to it's limits we start to put it into distortion. The distortion is what would be most damaging to your speakers. The other channels are typically running at lower levels for surround and ambience as well. I can't tell you what to do, but I would have no problem running this set up in my house. You might also consider a subwoofer to add to your system. This receiver actually has two subwoofer outputs. I think you would be very happy with this set up
