A:Answer 2-Way means they create music by dividing the sound in two Ways, one for the Lows or Bass (the Woofer) and the second for Highs or Treble (the Tweeter) as opposed to one single speaker struggling to cover the full range of frequencies, where it would not do well producing some of the lower & higher end frequencies. Obviously then a 3-way would be even better with a Mid-range added for middle frequencies.
