  Super Powerful & Tech Forward UV Light!

  First off this is a super powerful vacuum! It also has one of the easiest to empty dust boxes I have ever seen. The flip side to the power is the main body’s weight (the handle). It is heavy. What doesn’t help it is the bulk of the weight of the main body is above the handle which puts all the weight on the hand. I guess they had to do that so you could use it as a hand sanitizer unit with the UV light on top other wise it might have been hard to run it over pillows ect. Other stick vacuums I own have the bulk of the weight underneath the handle which makes balancing it around corners and in general easier and less muscle required to manipulate it. It’s also only wall mounted. That’s fine if it’s in a closet or somewhere but having a floor stand option gives it a lot more versatility around the house and the ability to move it easily without patching drywall. My unit came with the UV Sanitizing Head. This was the feature that really excited me not just because of a global pandemic but have you ever walked into a public bathroom and then wore those same shoes on your carpet at home….yeah… me either (eye roll). But in case you have… the UV sanitation is really forward tech on a vacuum!!! You can use the head with the main body as a handheld unit and do things like pillows…which was my first use. It is kind of loud and rattles when you run it over the surface and Raycop says that it vibrates the fibers to allow for a better clean. It was really cool to see that blue light shower my pillow with VOC killing light! It also was great on the carpet and picked up dust and killed germs… that’s a winning combination. Again the weight of the unit made me use two hands to run the vacuum over my pillows. But the powerful suction (3 speeds) and UV light might be a fair trade for the weight. That will be for you to decide. It was for me. The UV head did not work well on tile or my wood floors. The “vibration” they speak of to dislodge dirt from fibers does not work well on the hard surfaces. It sounded like it was going to break the UV head or my tile. So I stopped. But In practicum I use pine sol or other chemical cleaners to sanitize my hard floors. That’s what makes the UV light so great for carpet! It’s the first product that can sanitize carpet without a shampoo! The regular carpet head has a dual motor which I really liked. It has the traditional hardwood floor/tile head which is really close to the ground and soft on the front of the head and then it also has on the rear of the head the traditional carpet roller head. You can pop up the hard floor roller by touching a button on the head and then it down for hard floors and then pop up the hard wood floor front up to just run the cart head portion on the carpet. Pretty cool. I ran both heads down even on carpet because I felt like the close seal would provide a better clean on the carpet. Again the power on this thing is phenomenal. Press once for on (setting1), press again for power setting 2 and a third time for max power. If you want to turn off from power setting one just hold the button down. Power setting 3 sounds like a jet engine… which is good and bad. It’s loud but what do you expect for the awesome strong vacuuming capability? The manual says it will run 3.5 hours approximately. My house is about 2000 sq ft. and I had no trouble cleaning the whole house bouncing around from low to high when needed. The shaft of the vacuum is not extendable, so you get what you get as far as that goes. I’m 6’1” and it was comfortable for me. I can’t speak for shorter people. I would imagine the angle you push it forward and back would just be shallower. The overall build feels a little cheap in some places. Like the plastic clamp that puts the dust box into the main motor unit feels like it could break if you were not careful to make sure it was properly aligned. I also saw some give in the joint that connected the main unit with the shaft and I wonder over the years if that would be a problem. The attachments worked great. It comes with a crevice tool that had an extension on the front of it and a combination crevice/soft brush tool. The extension on the crevice tool also felt like it could break if one was not careful. Overall, I like this vacuum. It really gets the job done and with the cutting edge tech of the UV light really carves a notch in the vacuum world but loses some stars with me for the general weight of it, the awkward way the weight is distributed on the main unit over the handle, no floor stand, and some concerns on the build quality on the joints, crevasse tool and dustbin latch.

  Pretty Cool Vacuum Cleaner

  Got To Believe in the UV-C A study published in the "Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine" showed that exposure to ultraviolet C light (UV-C) can kill dust mites and their eggs. To reduce allergy symptoms, however, you must remove the dead dust mites and associated debris from your home via vacuuming or other means. Raycop Engineers -- “Hold my vacuum." The Raycop Omni Power Cordless Vacuum is a rare design of vacuum that provides a UV light that alters the DNA of the dust mites, bacteria, fungi and so on. Therefore they can not reproduce and eventually die. That’s some cool science stuff right there. Without the light, it just ends up being another decent vacuum for daily cleaning of carpets, hard floors and every nook and cranny you can think of. The UV-C makes this vacuum special. Speaking of vacuum, the suction power is very decent. I wouldn’t say that it is the most powerful of the bunch (I’ve used Dysons, Samsungs, LGs and the like) as it did struggle with picking up more clumpy messes like my cats matted hair clumps. The clump did make it through to the spin brush, but it just kept spinning along with it and never made it through to the suction intake. I think the motor head designs are more catered for the smallest pickups such as fine dust and dander as evident in the collections in the dust box. This is where the Raycop shines. The main motor head is the UV Sanitizing Head which houses the UV-C lamp inside of a spinning brush. This head is the only means of attaining the 99.9% killing of bacteria and viruses. Also included are a crevice tool, dust brush and a dual motor head. The dual motor head is quite a refreshing engineering idea as I no longer need to switch motorheads moving from carpet to hard floor. It’s a shame that the dual motor head does not have the UV-C lamp installed. The only two gripes I have about the vacuum is the dust box (waste bin) size and the sound this thing makes when it is on. The waste bin is on the small side in comparison to other cordless stick vacs I own. That being said, it did take awhile to fill it up and it leads me to believe that either my house is that clean or this vacuum is not doing its job. I said earlier that this vac excels in picking up the little things, so maybe that’s where it continues to focus its fight. So really, it’s about the sound. And it’s loud. It’s not a thunderous loud, but more of an annoying whine that gets more annoying at each power level. These whines should be reserved for the ultimate power modes for any stick vac, but this gives it to you in economy mode! I took a point off for that. A lot of skepticism can come from a product like this. Even as it is a scientifically proven fact that UV-C light is effective in killing tiny gross stuff, how effective is Raycop’s solution? Luckily, Raycop has done their own testing and released documentation on their website highlighting the effectiveness of the Omni Power. It’s a shame that we cannot see this process happen in real time and can only feel the benefits with continuous use. Pros: The UV-C Light Lightweight Good power Decent Battery Life (2400 sq ft home tested @ medium power) 4 Stage HEPA Filter down to 5 microns Dual Motor Brush is innovative (but doesn’t have UV-C light) Dust box (waste bin) is completely washable Dual Motor Brush and UV Sanitizing Head are low enough to clean under tight spaces! Dual Motor Brush and UV Sanitizing Head are serviceable Detachable Battery Cons: Dust box is small Storage dock is wall mountable only UVC light only comes on when fully planted on flat surface Tolerances for fitting attachments/heads are super tight and can feel like you’re breaking it trying to fit them in place Subjective stuff: Loud even at the lowest power setting, Very, very loud at the highest setting It Definitely looks cool Wish the wand was telescoping Wish I didn’t have to mount the dock on a wall

  Sanitizing vacuum

  When you need it cleaned and sanitized the Omni Power UV+ has you covered. The vacuum is small and lightweight which can be both a negative and a positive. On the plus side, the weight makes it comfortable to use overhead for an extended period of time. It would also be good for anyone with limited hand strength as this is one of the lighter vacuums like this I’ve used. The small size means you have to dump the canister more often and unlike its competitors it’s a little more cumbersome to do. To empty the canister you must first remove it from the vacuum with a little latch and then remove the filter to dump the canister. The vacuum has three different power settings- normal, power and turbo mode. In normal it has good power on hardwoods to get dust, cat litter, etc.. When using on carpets I found the second mode (power) was best. When using the crevice tool and wand to get dust, power and turbo were the best, normal mode just really didn’t have the suction. The battery life is stated at up to 40 minutes in normal mode, using only normal mode just isn’t realistic so don’t expect that. In my experience with mixed usage modes, I would guess I got a little over 20 minutes. Raycop states the battery takes up to 3.5 hours to charge and is removable. The vacuum comes with only one battery so you’ll have to purchase an extra one to extend your cleaning time without stopping. The UV cleaning head gives you the extra piece of mind especially with all that’s going on. Theres no way for me to say with certainty that it does what they say, but I feel that’s true for all UV products. Raycop does provide lab test results though on their website. If you’re a clean freak the Omni Power UV+ gives you a little more piece of mind. Pros- UV head, lightweight, good power, removable battery Cons- no onboard tool storage, battery life on high, only one battery.
