It's back, still in black.
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This is a very nice optical mouse. I've purchased the original DeathAdder (which I actually wore out... ahh the WoW days), the RGB DeathAdder Elite, and this is my first V2. There aren't a ton of differences, physically speaking, but they did change the buttons up a little (still similar, just different shape to them). The mouse is actually lighter, and they changed the braiding on the cable. It's "looser" now, but having dealt with it for a month at this point I can say I don't mind it at all and basically don't even notice anymore. It also has slightly different pads on the bottom that are white instead of the previous black. It includes a profile button on the bottom and on-board memory (do you need that? I don't... but it's cool to have if I was big on dialing in my "perfect settings" then took my mouse somewhere else... without my computer... and wanted to game? weird.). Plus it's sensor is great. They've all been really great. Do I notice a major improvement or something? No. The other DeathAdder's were also great, this one did not break that trend. It fits better in slightly larger hands than some other mice I've owned, and I prefer it over those other mice. Some of these that I've used (or still use when I must) include "standard" generic mice you get included with new PC's (Dell in particular), a Razer Naga, and even the wireless Logitech G403 (which is a nice wireless gaming mouse, but much heavier and not as comfortable). All in, this is, so far, my favorite mouse to use. If it broke right now, I'd hop my quarantined self in my car and curb-side pick up another of these. Let's just hope I remember pants. What day is it again? lol

This mouse is fantastic!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Very precise mouse, fits perfectly in my hand, and the different settings for the lighting make it very eye-catching. I've combined it with a Razer keyboard and any and all lighting settings can be set across both devices and it looks wonderful.

Razer Perfection - 14 years in the making.
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. The Razer DeathAdder has been around since 2006, and I remember adopting this mouse as my main driver for desktop computing and usage. I have had about 4 versions of this mouse and this one is by far the most refined and best feeling to use. It is lighter than any previous version and it just feels like quality. This combination makes it weird to use for those used to heavier mice due to the fact that it feels durable and so light. It is snappy and the software does a decent job and customizing it. The grips on the side definitely feel firm and don't feel like they're going to come lose or fall off. I also welcome the matte finish on the mouse as opposed to a glossy texture. I also welcome the recessed top buttons that switch between precision speeds so I don't accidentally click them with normal use. With all those positives, the only negative I can think of is the fact that it is still a wired mouse. I know there is a wireless option for this mouse, but it's double the price. While I love quality, I'm also cheap, so I'll keep using the wired version. I've used this mouse for the past 13-14 years and I have always, and still love it. Get it already!

Razer DeathAdder V2 review: We like the upgrades, but what's with the weighty name? The Razer DeathAdder V2 isn't necessarily deserving of such an auspicious name, but optical switches, a super-flexible cable, and three more buttons make this the upgrade the DeathAdder needed.
