Razer - Kraken Kitty Wired Stereo Gaming Headset with RGB lighting - Black

Was going to get the lower-end Kraken + the separate Kitty Ears attachment but this went on sale. I didn't need the RGB lighting but for the price at the time, it would be around the same as what I would pay for the different version headphones + ears pricing. Anyway, this product is great. The ear and head cushions are probably the best I've had so far - they're really comfortable. A few things to consider: 1. This does NOT have any other connection type but WIRED through USB. NO Bluetooth, NO IR, just WIRED. 2. And yes, USB. The wire has a USB attachment, NOT an audio jack. If you're thinking you can use this straight away for your phone or consoles, sorry mate (more on this below). 3. The wire CANNOT be detached from the headset. 4. The headset and ears stay lit up when in use unless you turn the feature off through the Razer Synapse app (download from the Razer website), which you have to install on your laptop/desktop (I did - it was bright if you just left it on). So if you're wanting to use this headset for your device that has a USB-C connection (disclaimer: I only tried this on my Switch and Pixel), you need a USB-C to USB Adapter (Type C Male to USB 3.0 Female). Of course, you'll take up the ONLY USB port on your device, so to listen to audio AND charge your device at the same time, you need a USB-C Splitter (Dual USB-C Audio and Charger Adapter). PRO TIP: Get a USB-C to USB Adapter that has a short cord at least, not those that look like a thumb drive. The cordless ones (thumb drive style) tend to have a wider body towards the USB-C end, making it challenging to use with another cable when plugged into a USB-C Splitter. Again, I only tried using USB-C adapters which worked on my Nintendo Switch (2017) and Google Pixel 2 XL (I know, it's time to upgrade). I wanted to post this because I almost returned my headset after trying to search for threads on how I can adapt the Kraken for USB-C use, which got me very confusing responses, from "you cannot" to "call customer service". I just decided to try it myself. I hope someone tries this with an Audio Jack so we'll have a complete picture of its adaptability. Thanks y'all! - Sookie [images below for reference]

Okay I feel like I am wearing something greater than beats headphones. The sound customization options and the audio quality of these earphones are something way into the future. I really enjoy having these and I love how I can get my favorite color to display through synapse. It can display still also known as “static” or go to the beat of a song via visualization! It’s really cool and so I highly recommend this gaming product to anyone looking for an awesome gaming headset!

Got these for my girlfriend as a Christmas Gift. She really enjoys them. If you have other razer RGB accessories the RGB software will sync them all together. They sound really nice and the surround sound works well where it matters in games like Call of duty or Overwatch. The microphone can be muted in two ways, by either pushing it back into the headset, or by clicking the mic itself. There's also indication as to when the mic is muted which some headsets do not have. You need to install the software to get the full protentional of the headset If your a streamer or want to get into streaming, there's also a way to sync the lights on the headset for when you get a donation or a subscriber etc.

What can I say? These are absolutely adorable and do the job they were intended for. I do get a little bit of a crackle in the headphones sometimes, but I have a feeling that’s because I’m using them for a PS4 with a USB extension cord rather than plugging into a PC. The one thing I wish they would change is for the app to change the colors in the lighting for the headphones, it’s not compatible with Mac - so I have been able to do anything in terms of changing the lighting. I wish it was compatible on both platforms.

love these headphones definitely can't hear anything when you wear these and have music or gaming going on it's great love them definitely recommend getting them if you want good quality headphones from a great brand

Great headset, and great quality mic. Sound comes on crystal clear and people say my mic was nice and crisp sounding, only downfall is the headset is a little heavy so it falls down sometimes

I absolutely love this headset. The color matches my other Razer products perfectly. The sound quality is similar to that of my console gaming headsets.
