A: In my opinion, this phone is not really designed for the hearing impaired. I purchased a Clarity phone for my hearing impaired mother and she loves it.

A: No, the phone cannot be wall mounted.

Q: how long does the battery last off the base?

A: So far, I've had a handset off the base unit for over 3 hours and it was still well charged; I would guess it could have lasted a couple of hours more.

A: The phone does light up when it rings (and it also lights when a message is waiting to be retrieved).

A: This system allows up to 6 handsets. So the answer would be yes assuming you have not already have 6 handsets in use.
