Synopsis
It's been a decade since the events at Raccoon City, and the President of the United States has decided it's time to reveal the truth behind what happened. His hope is that it will calm the resurgent tide of bioterrorist activity, but when the venue where the President is located is central to a bioterrorist attack, he is transformed beyond recognition. His personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, is forced to face the changed President and make the hardest decision of his life. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China and finds the nation under threat of a similar bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from harm and the subsequent outbreaks, the entire world has one thing in common: fear that there is no hope left.
Return to the horribly disfigured world of the Resident Evil universe with Resident Evil 6. Facing an unprecedented threat that looms in the minds of the world's population, franchise-favorites Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield join forces for the first time in the series. The latest installment to the legendary action- and survival-horror franchise delivers three distinct and interwoven storylines. Experience the thrilling horror with multiple characters and their respective partners. Leon S. Kennedy is paired with U.S. government agent Helena Harper, Chris Redfield has teamed up with BSAA member Piers Nivans, and Jake Muller, son of the infamous Albert Wesker and gun for hire, has joined up with Sherry Birkin, who is the daughter of former Umbrella scientists, William and Annette. Face the deadly C-virus — and its gruesome effects — in this worldwide adventure that will take you to North America, war-torn eastern Europe and China. Engage in white-knuckle combat against terrifying and advanced zombies that can run, jump and use weapons against you. Strategically attack enemy creatures, known as J'avo, who possess the ability to regenerate when injured and mutate severely damaged body parts into different forms. Experience a vast array of horrific creatures — that are an abomination to nature — thanks to the mutated Chrysalide. Use the evolved control system to shoot while moving, slide, roll, take cover and execute powerful melee attacks. Lock and load for the thrilling action in single-player and co-op gameplay, available on- and offline. Pre-order Resident Evil 6 to receive an exclusive map that functions with various game modes. Not bad, but not great
Dont get me wrong - i love resident evil, its a great franchise, but i think they tried to fix or improve too many things that were not broken.
first off, there is no conceivable inventory system which i have come to expect from 4 and 5. While the gun upgrades in 5 were less than desireable than thhe system in 4, the upgrades in 6 are asolute garbage. you basicaly get these little "skills" that will "make handguns more powerful" - i dont like that at all. I like spending all my cash (another thing that does not exist in this game) on upgrading things like a cool shotgun. I find it too difficult to switch between weapons as well - i am only a few chapters in and have like 6 guns, its difficult to manage when shotgun, rifle, and machine gun all look too much the same - makes in combat swicthes too time consuming - leading to zombies grappling you and cutting health in half.
lastly, this game has WAY TOO MANY quick time events - some of them are hard to keep up with even on normal - QTE's are not what makes these games fun and this is a classic example of them making this experience kinda lack luster.
fans of RE 4 and 5 will likely be let down, whereas someone looking to start up again after say RE 2/3 may find it someone playable.+
My advise - rent before you buy. and have a good 1-2 hour playtime penciled in, because even though you can "SAVE" at any time - it seems to start you way back at the start of the chapter - kiss your 45-60 mins goodbye...ditch this system and bring back the typewriters...at least then i know where i will be when i die!

Different from the rest.
Wish it was more like RE4 because it had a much darker atmosphere about it, you can only select 3 skills at a time which is ridiculous! For example, "You select unlimited ammo for the shotgun, assault rifle, and sniper rifle. And for some reason you need unlimited ammo for the handgun or semi auto hand machine gun, you now have to press select and switch skills why'll you're in live combat or whatever risking death or failing an objective. This is really ridiculous to me! Other than that, good game, highly recommend that they go back to the older ways like in re4 and re5!

Great Game
I am a huge Resident Evil fan and this one is pretty. The newer RE games have kinda steered away from the key element: surivival horror to action. Survival horror is what made Resident Evil. Solid game tho
