Moved from an HP printer after years of burning thru ink. Liking this Epson so far. Ink is holding up better; good quality prints (on par with HP); setup was easy. Recommend.

Great scanner for anyone

Just recently recieved this scanner in the mail. Opened it up and start to test it against my other scanner and copier. i had and found this one is soooo much better. I love how i can either hook my phone or any device to it or use wifi to print stuff out. Print pictures straight from my phone. I printed some out on both printers and the epson right away i could tell was not only faster but the quality was much better as well. Its well worth getting. This is a review for the Epson Expression Premium XP-7100 Wireless Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Good basic home printer

It’s a good basic home printer, easily set up right out of the box.
Some people have said it’s noisy, but that may be more noticeable if you’re printing a longer document.
This model isn’t fast enough for heavy use, whether business or personal. But for ordinary home use, I’ve been very happy with it.

It’s an okay printer. Prints good quality images but I had a little trouble setting up AirPrint and haven’t successfully done it yet. I can connect via Wi-Fi so it’s ok.

Extremely easy to setup. Not the speediest printer, but then again I only use it for home office printing and I don’t require blazing speed. Exceptional quality photo printing for this price point. Very satisfied.

Good inexpensive/expensive Multifunction Printer

After owning this machine for a couple of years I am ready to replace it, (already replaced it). After a few months of tweaking the scanner settings I finally got it at the best that I could. I use mostly the scanner for scanning all my receipts and documents and then shred them. Not nearly as good as the old Canon MX850 software (obsolete), but it gets by.
Now as for the printing aspects I never used the Epson software other than the drivers because they never created print software for this that I know of. I always had to use Microsoft crappy photo software. It would have been nice to have for instance a stripped version of the old "Print Shop Deluxe" or something similar to customize your prints.
As far as printing, I occasionally print some photos and documents as expected.
And did I mention how much ink this printer wastes on cleaning the heads? Occasionally when you start a print the printer goes through a ritual, I guess of cleaning the heads. Also when it goes into sleep mode it has to clean the heads. And when you change an ink cartridge (which is often) it cleans the ink heads. In fact it cleans the ink heads so often I have a soaked ink sponge in the cleaning bay. That leads to streaked pages.
Anyway like all "All-In-One"s, they scan, they print, and they copy, nothing extraordinary with the bones of these machines.
In my opinion the things that set all these "Multi-function" printers apart is the software they provide and the cost of the ink your buying (with this printer) every few months.
Overall I like the sheet feed and the duplex scanning. I don't like buying ink cartridges every few months.

Make photos with exceptional quality. Works very well as a Wi-Fi connected device. The scanner copies multiple source documents to make important backups for safekeeping.

This is a wonderful printer. It has the look of elegance and functionality and does not disappoint. What stands out on this printer is the LED screen and the quality of pictures printed. It executes all tasks easily, fast and to perfection. Hats off to this printers creator.

I had this same printer for a couple years, when it failed I looked for a different device but none were as flexible at the price. It will print CDs (nobody young buys them, but i sell CDs of old music to older customers) so this does that job. But the most important for me - it can print Greeting Card stock double-sided by islef - and DO it (many printers ake this claim, few actually do it.)

owned for 3 years now, smears

I've owned this for 3 years and it's home use, but I work at a school so I do print items for work.
Pros
- prints quickly
- fairly easy to set up
- most of the settings are straightforward and easy to use
Con
- seems to use way too much ink, either the cartridges are too small or it goes through too much. I change these and spend much more on this epson then I did on my last epson and if anything my printing has decreased
- SMEARS! I have never been able to successfully print a photo without smears all over it and have given up trying photos. It smears even on paper, b&w, or color. I've tried the self cleaning, alignment settings but it doesn't help. I would not purchase again.

I bought this printer for my small business, and also my children’s work. I have went through a couple printers and this one is by far the best printer I have owned so far. The ink doesn’t run out as fast as the cheaper printers. The quality is above and beyond.

Ok for the price

I can't say that this All in One would be worth the regular price of $199, but at $99.99 its tolerable. The scanning software that comes with it is NOT acceptible. The last Epson WF printer I had for five years had the Epson Scan, but it also had Document Capture Pro, which was far superior. This one has Epson Scan 2 and it just is weak. I am currently looking for a better third party scanning software since I scan my bills regularly instead of filing the paper versions. I can't comment yet about the printing quality or the life of the cartridges since I just got it.
