After about a year of Xbox Series X ownership, I decided to pick up the 1 TB expansion card due to the recent launch of a number of great titles which quickly filled up the native storage on my console.
Seagate offers a 2 TB card, but thought it was too pricey for what I need at the moment. 1 TB should provide me with enough extra capacity to manage my game library without having to make a difficult decision to start deleting/archiving games to offline storage.
Installation is super easy. Just insert the card and the console automatically recognizes and configures it. No other steps needed. By comparison, the process for expanding storage on the PS5 is a bit more involved, though the benefit is that there are a number of different options and brands of NVME SSDs to choose from, so pricing is a bit more competitive.
Hopefully, other companies will be able to work with Microsoft in the future to develop/license storage expansion cards and give Seagate some competition in the marketplace.
Overall, very happy with my purchase and definitely would recommend this product.

Got this expansion card for my new Xbox Series S. Little expensive for what it does. Over 200 for a TB. Which in gaming isn’t much. But it is a fast responsive card and will low u more space that the 500GB u get on your Xbox Series S storage. I think it is way overpriced but there is nothing else out there right now that will give u more storage.

for the time that I have been using it, it is a good acquisition, even more so if you have an xbox series s, it is highly recommended, although the price is a bit high, it is worth it if you want extra space and if you want to maintain the speed of current generations

This couldn't be easier to use. Its litterally plug and play with the new xbox. Although I think the price is still too high for what it is, the speeds match what comes in the console and it does exactly what it should do.

Great memory upgrade for my son's xbox series x. Although expensive, it is worth having the capacity to transition and play games seamlessly and without interruption. Easy to use, one simply plugs it in out of the box and the xbox recognizes it and sets it up. I would highly recommend this product.

Kids needed more storage for the Xbox, since it's the diskless drive console. simple as plug in set up and move files. no extra downloading required... now they can play all the CoD with updates all they want without deleting other games.

This Expansion card is easy to use, and love that it adds additional storage without the sacrifice in speed. The fact that it utilizes the Xbox Velocity structure makes this a no brainer if you are looking to expand your storage on your Xbox Series X. Price may seem high, but the technology behind it puts it right where it needs to be.

Super expensive which I don’t agree with the pricing BUT the ease of use for this is awesome. PlayStation requires you take the cover off and install a new one, this is so much simpler, take this out of the box and just pop it in in the back port. SO EASY and so much more space !

I mean what can you really say, it's a ssd, it's fast and durable. Works perfect with the new Xbox Series X just like the internal SSD. Easy to pop in and out, so far so good. Pricey but then again most SSDs are but I would definitely say it's not a must purchase because the transfer speeds are pretty good from other harddrives.

This is not a must have - I know pricing is competitive for 1TB SSD, but with some game management and an external USB hard drive, it is not completely necessary to enjoy the Series X. But if you are an enthusiast and don’t mind the cost, this works perfectly. Seamless integration and just plug and play. I’m glad I have it.

It’s great, because it just slides right into the Xbox and adds a whole terabyte of storage. I wish it was cheaper, but it is very easy to use.

Perfect addition to the Xbox Series S. The price is kind of steep, but worth it if you have a series S and want have more than 2 games on your system. Integrates with the system perfectly and allows quick resume for games and all. Very fast for expansion memory too.

Works well. Easy and fast to move games from console to card. Games on card are just like having them installed on console. Love the ease of memory addition on the xbox series x compared to the ps5. It's as easy as popping it in and out. Only knocking it 1 star because of the price. Realistically this should be $100 and $200 for a 2 tb if they make one. The console was $500 so I shouldn't have to pay almost half the price again to add double the storage because it's very easy to fill 1 tb nowadays.

It is a 1TB storage device for the Xbox… not sure there is much more to explain there. It is easy to install, just insert it when the power is off and then let it do its thing. It runs as fast as the internal storage, so yay for small blessings. The only problem I have is the cost. Storage drives are super cheap, but because it’s “proprietary”, it’s rather expensive for the name brand one. And the off brand ones have issues because they write code to make it where you can only use the name brand ones. The games are so big now, they need to make the storage bigger across the entire lineup. 2TB minimum on the system, and 1TB minimum on the expansions. Most good games are over 100GB now, so just do the math.

Not much to say here. It does as describes. It's very fast storage with a high price tag to match. I understand the reasoning behind the price, and the quality feels top notch for what it is. If storage is a concern, and you want the benefits of the faster load times, then this is what you need.

This works great. I play mostly very large games that are at least 100 GB each. I guess the only downfall is the crazy price. Going from a 4 TB external hard drive for the Xbox One to a one TB expansion card for the Xbox series s and paying about the same for each actually I paid less for the four TB Xbox One external hard drive. I am quite aware of the difference between a SSD and HDD... But it's still unbelievable the price difference between the two. Don't regret my purchase just regret the price.
