Note though...I was wondering why it was more than $12 cheaper than the Insignia one, and it is because this one only supports up to 1920x1080 resolution.

New monitors come with HDMI ports. Go figure. Hooking up two displays to a PC becomes a problem until you use a port adapter like this one. Inexpensive and easy to use.

Great little adapter, and does what I needed

One has an HDMI port, the other has only a DisplayPort available. My portable monitor can use either USB-c DP or a mini-HDMI, and unfortunately, neither laptop supports USB-c output to a monitor. And, seeing as I can't seem to find a DisplayPort to mini-HDMI cable, I snagged one of these. It works perfectly for my purpose.
